Revenue Shares
Each purchase on the Faraway Shop pays up to 4 distinct parties
There are four parties that are paid every time an item sells on the Faraway Shop:
Creator (50%) - The creator receives, at minimum, 50% of the purchase price of their item that sells on the Faraway Shop
Seller (35% or 40%) - The seller of an item receives 40% of the item's purchase price if there is no referrer, and 35% of the purchase price if there is a referrer for that purchase. The Seller can be the Creator or a dedicated Seller that focuses on selling other Creators' items
Referrer (5%) - If applicable, the referrer whose link was used to complete the purchase receives 5% out of the Seller's 40%.
Platform (10%) - The platform (Faraway, in this scenario) receives a 10% revenue share on all transactions made through the Faraway Shop for facilitating the sale through its technology and commerce platform.
Example: Your item is found and purchased through the Faraway Shop
You have an item listed in your Creator Storefront for 1 SOL.
A shopper goes to the Faraway Shop and sees an item from your Collection. The shopper purchases the item without ever going to your Creator Storefront - the Faraway Shop aggregates all items from all creators to allow for improved discoverability and streamlined purchases. The revenue shares for this transaction are as follow:
Creator (50%) - You are the creator of the item and always receive a minimum of 50% of the purchase price; you receive 0.5 SOL from this sale
Seller (40%) - Because the buyer purchased the item from the Faraway Shop and did not ever land directly on your Creator Storefront, Faraway receives the Seller Share, or 0.4 SOL for this transaction. Since there was no referrer for this transaction, the 5% referrer
Platform (10%) - Faraway receives 0.1 SOL, or 10% of the sale price, for facilitating the transaction
Example: Your item is found and purchased directly through your Creator Storefront link
You have an item listed on your Storefront for 1 SOL.
Someone purchases the item in your Collection after navigating directly to your Storefront via URL or by clicking on your Storefront in the Faraway Shop.
Creator (50%) - You are the creator of the item and always receive a minimum of 50% of the purchase price; you receive 0.5 SOL from this sale
Seller (40%) - Because the buyer purchased the item by navigating directly to your Storefront, you receive the Seller cut of the transaction. Since there was no referrer for this transaction, the 5% referrer
Platform (10%) - Faraway receives 0.1 SOL, or 10% of the sale price, for facilitating the transaction
You receive both the creator share (50%) and seller share (40%) - this means that you receive 0.9 SOL for this transaction.
